Penarth Scout Active Support

Belowjustask1 is a comment from Bear Grylls, Chief Scout on Scout Active Support:-
Our biggest challenge in Scouting is getting enough adults to share their time and talents.
Scout Active Support is a brilliant way for adults of all ages to volunteer on a flexible basis. It's the best of both worlds - it fits around peoples commitments, helps them to use their individual talents and volunteer with their friends. Not everyone can contribute every week - but this way, people can still make a great contribution to Scouting.”

We see the Active Support Unit in Penarth and District supporting the development of scouting by assisting at District activities, supporting groups with one off programme items and providing support with the maintenance and procuring of district assets.
