1st Penarth Scout Troop

Cyclist Trip 10 Mar 2013

 cyclist trip 10-03-13

On the 10th of March 1st Penarth scout Troup cycled 32 miles down the Taff trail! 16 scouts and 4 leaders went on the bike ride, as part of their cyclist badge. Previous weeks had been spent learning map reading, first aid, road safety and bike maintenance in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable day. Everyone (including the leaders) were shattered by the end of it- two of the scouts even completed the ride on single gear bmx’s. They rode along the Taff Trail, from Merthyr Tydfil to Penarth side of Cardiff bay. One of the scouts said “It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and exactly what I joined scouts to do!”

Congratulations to all of the 1st Penarth Scouts who took part and completed this badge.
